About Legacy of Life Hawai'i
At Legacy of Life Hawai‘i, we believe every life is precious, and every gift has the power to bring hope. Each day, our team works with compassion and purpose to make a difference in the lives of donors, transplant recipients, and families across Hawai‘i.
Legacy of Life Hawai‘i is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization and the only federally designated organ and tissue recovery organization serving Hawai‘i. We work closely with hospitals across the islands to support donation and transplantation, while fostering understanding in our diverse communities that life is worth giving.
Our Mission
The mission of Legacy of Life Hawai’i is to save and enhance lives by recovering organs and tissue for transplant, to encourage organ donation through community outreach and education, and to honor and support organ donors and their families.

Provide compassionate counseling to families considering donation

Guide and support hospital staff through the donation process

Assess medical suitability for organ and tissue donation

Coordinate the recovery of organs and tissue with care, dignity, and urgency
