UNITED WITH HOPE

Writing to Your Loved One's Recipient

You may wish to share who your loved one was — their personality, interests, and the memories you hold close. Write if and when it feels right for you.

The decision to write to your loved one’s recipient is personal and heartfelt. For many donor families, sharing about their loved one—their spirit, personality, and the legacy they leave behind—offers a powerful way to honor them and find healing.

There is no timeline for writing. Whether it’s months or years later, you can write when it feels right. Anyone in your family may write, and we will always inform the immediate next of kin when correspondence is received or shared.

If you choose to write, our Family Services team is here to support you. Your message doesn’t need to be long or formal—just genuine
